One of the best ways to get more leads and grow your business is by blogging. It’s a fact that today’s buyer wants to do his/her own research before making the decision to purchase. A recent survey showed that 96% of B2B buyers want to read blogs about the product or service before buying, a monumental shift that reinforces the power of the blog. To generate more leads and grow your business in today’s informed buying landscape, you need to be blogging.

Get More Leads Through Your Blog

Blogging is not only one of the best ways to drive visitors to your website and position yourself as an industry leader, but it’s a tremendous B2B lead generation tool. Those who blog get 55% more website visitors and receive 67% more leads than their non-blogging competitors.

One very important statistic for anyone selling B2B products or services is that Millennials now make up more than half of the workforce, and will account for an estimated 75% of it by 2025.

Anyone in marketing and sales should be aware of this statistic. Now a dominant force in the workplace, Millennials are often the ones making purchasing decisions for their companies. To grow your business, you will have to effectively market to and sell millennials on what it is you’re offering.

One simple process we use to get more leads is a combination of blogging and email marketing. Below is an outline of what we do at TF West to generate more leads and increase revenue in our website development department.

B2B Lead Generation Process
  1. Create a blog post geared towards the audience you’re selling to

One of our target audiences for websites is real estate agents. First, we create a blog they would find of value, such as “Your Three Biggest Marketing Mistakes” or “What Millennials Want in a Home.” These articles are chock-full of information and free marketing advice that real estate agents find helpful.

Since we believe that personal websites are extremely valuable to realtors, we’ll include some information that points towards this value and details why the agent should get in contact with us regarding a new website. Right in the article, we’ll have links that direct them to our website contact forms where if they’re interested, they’ll give us their information. Boom! We just generated a warm lead.

  1. Insert a section of the blog into an email blast which directs the reader back to the blog post

Create an email that is clean, easy to read, aesthetically pleasing and features a compelling subject line. When the person clicks into the email, they will read your introduction or your ‘hook’ to the article, and then be funneled to the CTA button that reads ‘Continue Reading’.

If your opener is good enough, you will get a ton of people to click through to your blog article, where now they will read the entire article which funnels them to your contact forms. Get enough targeted traffic onto your blog and soon you will be getting more leads than ever before.
